Academy

Hey HTB Academy team! I really love the academy, especially the hands-on exercises. They are very creative with those exercises, and it really helps to understand the topic. Web Requests and JS Deobfuscation are really good examples of that. However, there are also modules without any kind of exercises, or modules with 22 sections and only 2 exercises. Some modules like these are: Setting Up, Introduction to Networking, Introduction to Penetration Testing (the old and the new for CJCA), Pentest in a Nutshell (for CJCA) and a few more. Maybe the modules that I have mentioned are fundamental or for beginners, and they have to be a little bit theoretical. But modules like Network Foundations (of the CJCA path) and Web Requests are examples that in theoretical modules we can do exercises about what we learned. In Network Foundations, 91.66% of the sections have at least 3 exercises. Network Foundations is so similar to Introduction to Networking, and this module has just 4 exercises on one section (Subnetting). Thanks!

I'm enjoying CPTS's Penetration Tester job role path so far. This makes me wonder, will HTB introduce a ICS/OT Red Team and/or Penetration Tester job role path and certification in the future? Would really love to see this

Hoping HTB will considering having a branch of content for cloud redteam/penetration test since nowadays everything seems cloud related.

The Academy 2.0 Dashboard takes a long time to load relative to the prior one.

On the desktop, many of the Academy 2.0 images are too small, and practically illegible. Futhermore, on the desktop, the images can't be poped-out for zooming or resized. I've attached some examples from the File Inclusion module.

There is too much wasted space in the Academy 2.0 modules -- the column of text only occupies about half the page (even when Table of Contents is hidden). Hiding the Table of Contents does nothing but shift the column to the right...not expand its width. In the old interface, the text occupied 2/3 to 3/4 of the page, and, consequently, required a lot less scrolling.

It seems to take up lots of space. so please make it togglable where you can press a button and it goes down and hides from you and then you can press the button again to bring it back. Thanks

Include the "My Badges" link (or a widget) directly on the Academy 2.0 Dashboard -- rather than just burying it under the user menu. There is plenty of space for it; and, most of the badges are directly related to the modules / paths listed on the dashboard.

There are pretty much close to no structured course and/or certification for Desktop Application/Thick Client Exploitation. Also, there is already a challenge in HTB on Desktop Application/Thick Client Hacking. This would be a great addition.

Ran across a typo in the HTB Academy Network Topologies module. Not sure if I am right in this, but just wanted to bring it to your attention.
